I’m Stephanie McCready,

an eLearning Developer and ATD-Certified Instructional Designer passionate about creating learning experiences that are both effective and engaging. I believe that learning should be exciting, not a chore! A UDL practitioner, I lean heavily on adult learning theory and proven instructional design methods to craft learning experiences that resonate with ALL learners. My expertise spans a variety of formats, and I am skilled at producing voice-over audio, animated videos, and interactive learning experiences.

I enjoy collaborating with subject matter experts and stakeholders to develop innovative learning solutions that help organizations achieve their goals – whether it’s developing employees, educating customers, or driving strategic initiatives. I’m proficient in a range of software, including Articulate 360, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Vyond, Wrike, Claude.AI, and Canvas LMS by Instructure.

Design Philosophy

The intersection of Universal Design for Learning and Cognitive Load Theory provides a powerful framework for creating learning experiences that are both inclusive and efficient. UDL ensures that I design for the widest possible range of learners from the start, while Cognitive Load Theory helps me understand how to present information in ways that align with human cognitive architecture. Together, these frameworks enable me to create learning experiences that honor learner diversity, respect cognitive constraints, and support genuine skill development.
