I’m Stephanie McCready, M.Ed.
an eLearning Developer and ATD-Certified Instructional Designer passionate about creating learning experiences that are both effective and engaging. I believe that learning should be exciting, not a chore! A UDL practitioner, I lean heavily on adult learning theory and proven instructional design methods to craft learning experiences that resonate with ALL learners. My expertise spans a variety of formats, and I am skilled at producing voice-over audio, animated videos, and interactive learning experiences.
I enjoy collaborating with subject matter experts and stakeholders to develop innovative learning solutions that help organizations achieve their goals – whether it’s developing employees, educating customers, or driving strategic initiatives. I’m proficient in a range of software, including Articulate 360, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Vyond, Wrike, Claude.AI, and Canvas LMS by Instructure.

Design Philosophy
My approach to learning design is grounded in a simple belief: every learner deserves an experience built with them in mind from the start. Key frameworks guiding my design include Universal Design for Learning, Cognitive Load Theory, Mayer’s Principles of Multimedia Learning, and the adult learning theories of Knowles and Kolb. Together, they drive design decisions that remove barriers, protect cognitive resources, respect learner autonomy, and ensure that every instructional choice serves a genuine purpose. The result is learning that is inclusive without being simplistic, efficient without being cold, and engaging without being decorative.
