I turn complex challenges into clear, useful learning experiences. My work combines instructional strategy, hands-on development, and practical support so learners can build critical skills and use them when it matters.
Effective learning design starts with curiosity.
I start by understanding the problem before choosing a solution. What are people trying to do? What do they already know? Where are they getting stuck, and what conditions shape their work?
Those questions guide my recommendations. Sometimes a new course is the right approach. Other times, a clear job aid or a change to the process can address the need more directly. My goal is to make it easier for people to do their work with confidence.

Stephanie McCready, M.Ed.
I’m an ATD-certified instructional designer with an M.Ed. in Instructional Design and Educational Technology and more than five years of experience in in-house eLearning development and independent L&D work. Earlier experience in business ownership and team leadership shapes how I approach projects, collaboration, and organizational needs.
My background is rooted in production, and I’m most energized by projects where I can contribute from the start: clarify the problem, design the solution, build the learning experience, and improve the systems that support it. Curiosity guides that work. I ask why a problem exists and what people need before deciding how to address it.
